Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium & Impact

Since the introduction of the Pupil Premium, the Avenue Centre for Education (ACE) has continually strengthened how this funding is used to enhance opportunities, raise aspirations, and improve outcomes for eligible students. The impact of this funding is reviewed annually and reported to the Management Committee and key stakeholders, including schools, the Local Authority, and Central Government.

ACE is committed to providing a personalised, balanced, and relevant education for every student. Pupil Premium funding is therefore used flexibly to respond to individual needs, interests, and pathways. This may include:

  • Supporting tailored vocational courses, training opportunities, and career-focused pathways

  • Enabling work placements and college or training provider taster sessions to broaden aspirations and future choices

  • Funding specialist assessments, interventions, and professional support, agreed in partnership with students and parents

  • Providing essential equipment, including ICT and specialist resources, to support learning and achievement

  • Offering enrichment activities that build confidence, resilience, and self-belief

  • Supporting additional provision outside of normal hours or during holidays where this enhances wellbeing, safeguarding, or engagement

Above all, Pupil Premium funding at ACE is used to remove barriers, unlock potential, and support successful progression into education, training, or employment.
